The intensity of phosphorous compound metabolism in grape plants has been found to strongly depend on the soil texture and to be mainly higher in the plants grown on sandy and medium loamy soils. Negative temperatures cause changes in the metabolism of these compounds resulting in increase of the content of macroergic phosphorous and ethereal sugars on slightly clayey and loamy soils, while the reduction of organic and acid soluble phosphorus, nucleotides, and nucleic acids is more pronounced in the plants grown on sandy loamy and medium loamy soils.
