Food safety of the Republic of Belarus from the position of food physical availability

In a course of the research there was studied the food safety of the Republic of Belarus from the position of food physical availability on the basis of estimates of production of agri-food products, food and energy value of foods and their consumption by the population of the country. Agricultural enterprises, as well as the food industry enterprises of the Republic of Belarus have a high production capacity, which, after satisfying domestic needs become export. So, since 2005, the gross production of agricultural products is growing and exceeds domestic demand, reflecting the integrated index of production, which is consistently above the unit. Also since 2005, the permanent growing consumption of specific foods, although the proportion of the structural gives medical recommendations, which in turn leads to increased food and energy consumption values set foodstuffs. Thus, according to the calculated integral index of food security can be argued that, since 2010, domestic demand is fully satisfied with the food and the food security of the Republic of Belarus to the physical availability of food items is provided in full.
