Results of the study of initial material for spring triticale breeding

In a course of the complex reseacrh there were studied the 43 spring triticale collection sumples of different ecological and geographical origin by morphological and biological characters and grain quality. The research was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. As a result of realized research there were revealed the sources with the high content of crude protein, crude gluten, starch, high yield, short-stalkness, early maturity, grain-unit, thousand-kernel weight for the purposeful use as initial material in breeding under the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. Collection of spring triticale was investigated in 2012-2014 in the experimental field of the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Arable Farming, located in Smolevichi district, Minsk region, on sod-podzolic loamy, average cultivated soil. Predecessor was spring rape (Brassica napus). Phosphate and potash fertilizers were added in the autumn, and nitrogen (N70) - spring presowing cultivation.
