The helminth fauna of Eurasian water shrew (Neomys fodiens) in Belarus

英语. The Eurasian water shrew is one of the representatives of insectivorous mammals of the genus Neomys Kaup, 1829 (family Soricidae Fischer, 1814). The purpose of our work is to analyze the literature data and the results of our own studies of the helminth fauna of the Eurasian water shrew in Belarus. 23 species of helminths were found in this insectivorous mammal: 8 species of trematodes and nematodes, 7 species of cestodes. 21 of them are found in southwestern Belarus. So, for the period from 1996 to 2011, 25 Eurasian water shrews were examined and 23 helminth species were found in 23 (92.0%) of them there were marked 16 species of helminths: 8 species of trematodes, 3 species of cestodes and 5 species of nematodes. Trematode Neoglyphe locellus (Kossack, 1910) has been registered more often. Cestode Triodontolepis sumavensis (Prokopic, 1957), nematodes Capillaria konstantini Romashov, 1999 and Longistriata neomi Lubarskaja, 1962 were found in Belarus for the first time. On the territory of Belarus there is a possibility of parasitization of the common trematode Plagiorchis neomidis (Brendow, 1970) in the Eurasian water shrew. This species is a specific parasite of the Eurasian water shrew. Its cercariae are found in mollusks of the genus Radix Montfort, 1810, collected in the lakes Naroch, Myadel and Rudakovo (Narochansky National Park, Minsk region).

俄语. Кутора обыкновенная – один из представителей насекомоядных млекопитающих рода Neomys Kaup, 1829 (сем. Soricidae Fischer, 1814). Цель нашей работы – проанализировать данные литературы и результаты собственных исследований гельминтофауны куторы обыкновенной в Беларуси. У этого насекомоядного млекопитающего обнаружено 23 вида гельминтов: по 8 видов трематод и нематод, 7 видов цестод. Из них 21 вид найден в юго-западной Беларуси. Так, за период c 1996 по 2011 г. было исследовано 25 кутор обыкновенных и у 23 (92,0 %) найдено 16 видов гельминтов: 8 видов трематод, 3 вида цестод и 5 видов нематод. Чаще встречалась трематода Neoglyphe locellus (Kossack, 1910). Впервые для Беларуси указываются цестода Triodontolepis sumavensis (Prokopiс, 1957), нематоды Capillaria konstantini Romashov, 1999 и Longistriata neomi Lubarskaja, 1962. Два последних вида зарегистрированы ранее под другими названиями. На территории Беларуси существует вероятность паразитирования у куторы обыкновенной трематоды Plagiorchis neomidis (Brendow, 1970). Этот вид является специфичным паразитом кутор. Церкарии его найдены у моллюсков рода Radix Montfort, 1810, собранных в озерах Нарочь, Мядель и Рудаково (национальный парк ‘Нарочанский’, Минская область).
