Ontogenetic peculiarities of colorado potato beetle susceptibility to biopreparations and plant extracts

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the biological activity of microbial agents and plant extracts in relation to different stages of the Colorado potato beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata) in conditions in vitro. The highest rate of susceptibility to entomopathogens was noticed among the larvae of early ages, the lowest – among the larvae of IV age. Higher rate of biological activity was noticed at strains B. bassiana 10Е and 10-06: they caused death on the 10th day after the treatment of 77,8–100 % larvae I, on the 14th day – 84,4–100, 84,6 and 58,0–78,0 % larvae of II, III and IV ages. The highest level of sensitivity and speed of the onset of death were typical for young larvae, the least - for larvae of IV age. Statistically valid indicators of biological activity in the studied microbiological preparations in relation to the imago of Colorado potato beetle were not revealed. The entomopathogens negative influence on Colorado potato beetle was in a teratogenic effect. Veratruim lobelianum Bernh. and Juniperus Sabina Gueldenst. extracts at concentration 12,5 % caused the death 90–100 % of all ages larvae on the 14th day. It is determined, that hellebore and juniper extracts have an ovicidal action.

Целью настоящих исследований являлась оценка биологической активности микробиологических препаратов и растительных экстрактов по отношению к различным стадиям развития колорадского жука (Leptinotarsa decemlineata) в условиях in vitro. Наибольший уровень восприимчивости колорадского жука к энтомопатогенам был отмечен для личинок младших возрастов, наименьший – для личинок IV возраста. Наиболее высокий уровень биологической активности отмечался у штаммов B. bassiana 10Е и 10-06: они вызвали на 10-е сутки после обработки гибель 77,8–100 % личинок I, на 14-е сутки – 84,4–100, 84,6 и 58,0–78,0 % личинок II, III и IV возраста соответственно. Наибольший уровень восприимчивости и скорость наступления гибели были характерны для личинок младших возрастов, наименьшие – для личинок IV возраста. Статистически достоверных показателей биологической активности у изученных микробиологических препаратов по отношению к имаго колорадского жука не выявлено. Отрицательное воздействие энтомопатогенов на фитофага проявлялось в тератогенном эффекте. Экстракты чемерицы (Veratruim lobelianum Bernh.) и можжевельника (Juniperus sabina Gueldenst.) в концентрации 12,5 % вызывали гибель 90–100 % личинок всех возрастов на 14-е сутки. Установлено, что экстракты можжевельника и чемерицы обладают овицидным действием.
