Lautex diagnosis comprises of determination of four physiological parameters i.e. sucrose content, inorganic phosphorus, total solid content an rỉ thiols of latex. This study was conducted on a small scale clonal trial at Lai Khe Experimental Station including 33 clones. Rubber yield and four latex physiological parameters were recorded at juvenile stage of 39 month old and mature stage of 84 month old in order to understand the relationship between parameters at two stages. Results showed that 11 clones were selected at the juvenile stage due to highest yield, however, there were only three clones i.e. LH95/147, LH95/376 and LH95/90 which still remained high yielding character with good physiological parameters at the mature stage. Though two clones i.e. LH93/349 and LH95/89 showed lower yield in the juveni1e stage but they performed better at the mature stage due to good physiological characters such as high sucrose and total solid content. There were statistical significant correlations of rubber yield, sucrose, inorganic phosphorus and thiols content between the two stages. Multivariate technique such as principal component analysis was adapted in this case as a useful tool for interpretation of results of multi-variable data. This study leads to a sugestion of adoption the analysis of these four parameters in rubber clonal selection.
