The effect of technical parameter of wood jointfinger manufacturing on its power consumtion

In the wood processing industry at present, fingerjoint board manufactured from plantation timber plays an important role for the development of the timber industry. Quality and price of products depend on many factors: one of them is technological factor. So the study to determine the optimal processing in each of the different materials, in each specific production condition in order to improve economic and technical efficiency is necessary. The research on fingerjoint processing to make finger joint board with thickness 20 mm and width 40 mm of basic panels from Acacia auriculiformis A. Cunn wood on the milling - machine code FJ - 75, experiment arranged by orthogonal method showed that : the number of fingeres, cutting speed and push speed of wood had effect on fingerjoint quality and cutting capacity. When changing number of 6, 7 and 8 fingeres, wood cutting speed of 40, 50 and 60 m/min, wood pushing speed of 3, 4 and 5 m/min, milling - machine cutting capacity revealed significant change, when pushing speed increased, number of fingeres increased then cutting capacity incresed also; when cutting speed increased then cutting capacity reduced. The research showed that cutting capacity is minimum of 2.48 kW at wood cutting speed of 60 m/min, wood push speed of 4 m/min and number of 7 fingeres. Processing energy consumption is minimum of 2.95 X 10-4 kWh/product at wood cutting speed of 60 m/min, wood push speed of 5 m/min and quantity of 7 fingeres. However, when changing number of 7 and 8 fingeres, wood cutting speed of 40 m/min, wood pushing speed of 5 m/min, appearence parameteres of finger joint were not good as appear rough on the wood face and cracks on the head of fingejoints.
