Study on the antibacterial ability and toxicology of leave extract of Bo giac tree (Psychotria reevesii wall.) on experimental animal

Researcher study on Bo giac tree (Psychotria reevesii Wall.) The leaves of Bo giac tree was extracted by 2 types of solvents: Alchohol 90 ~O and distilled water. The extracts were tested on anti-bacteria ability, showed that they had effective on some bacteria such as Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albians and even Escherichia (but lower effective). But, the extracts of Bo giac leaves had no efficiency on Aspergillus niger. Trial applying on experimental animals showed that extracts of Bo giac leaves influenced on blood-making organization and liver tissues of experimental mice.
