The effect of significant reduction of plant height on leaf diseases development was studied in the field trial with two winter wheat varieties Federer and Princeps. Plant height reduction was achieved by application of high rate of trinexapacethyl a.i. A change of the height of wheat stand radically changed infection with diseases: short stand has been attacked several times more than the control, unregulated one. The infection started earlier and its progress was more intensive for both leaf rust (Puccinia recondita), as well as septoria leaf blotch (Septoria tritici). Efficacy of fungicide Boogie XPro was evaluated in variety Cubus strongly regulated in height. The effect of rate as well as term of treatment was assessed. The fungicide was applied as variable first treatment in double application programmes, in which second treatment was carried out by Prosaro 250 EC in flowering. Important relationship between term of treatment and an effectivity of fungicides has been confirmed. Experimentaly achieved significant shortening of plants was not accompanied by negative influence on yield and fungicidal yield effect of applications.
