Starptautiskais simpozijs ''Smilts un stikls''. Zinātnisko rakstu krājums

Within the framework of the 75th scientific conference of the University of Latvia with the National Research Program The international Symposium ''Sand and Glass'' organized by the ResProd Support Centre is a wide-ranging review the field of scientific research, and it is interdisciplinary, combines extensive research. Sand and sand-sized particles are the most common sediments on the surface of the earth, they are linked to one of the most important stages in the rocks cycle - covering, material transport and grain rounding, linking significant sedimentary aspects, paleoclimate, and their widespread use in ancient times and nowadays. In turn, the widespread use of glass in medicine, food industry, building materials, biomaterials and nanomaterials, special role in optical devices and communication technology, etc., determines the wide spectrum of researches. The aim of the symposium is to bring together representatives of various scientific fields involved in and studying sand or sand size particles as well as their various metamorphoses and melting and modifications, thereby promoting the future interaction of new visions and researchers from different fields and the development of cross-disciplinary research on sand, silica gel and glass and related studies. This publication is intended for researchers, students and research social partners as a source of information. It will, of course, also encourage new members to join supporters of the further realization of these studies.

拉脱维亚语. Latvijas Universitātes 75. zinātniskās konferences ietvaros ar Valsts pētījumu programmas ResProd atbalstu organizētais starptautiskais simpozijs “Smilts un stikls” apskata plašu zinātnisko pētījumu loku, un tas ir starpdisciplinārs, apvieno daudzpusīgus pētījumus. Smiltis un smilšu izmēra daļiņas ir visizplatītākie nogulumi zemes virskārtā, ar tiem saistām gan iežu cikla vienu no svarīgākiem posmiem – dēdēšanu, materiāla transportēšanu un graudu noapaļošanu, saistām nozīmīgus sedimentaloģiskos aspektus, paleoklimatu, gan arī to plašo pielietojumu senatnē un mūsdienās. Savukārt, stikla plašais pielietojums medicīnā, pārtikas rūpniecībā, būvmateriālos, biomateriālos un nanomateriālos, īpašo lomu optiskās ierīcēs un komunikāciju tehnikā u.c., nosaka to plašo pētījumu spektru. Simpozija mērķis ir pulcēt dažādu zinātnisko jomu pārstāvjus, kas ir saistīti un pēta smiltis vai smilšu izmēra daļiņas, kā arī dažādās to metamorfozes un kausējumus, un modifikācijas, tādējādi veicinot jaunu redzējumu un dažādu sfēru pētnieku mijiedarbību nākotnē un savstarpēju multidisciplināru pētījumu attīstību smilšu, silikātgēlu un stiklu, un ar tiem saistītos pētījumos. Izdevums paredzēts pētniekiem, studentiem un pētniecības sociālajiem partneriem kā informācijas avots. Tāpat tas, cerams, rosinās pievienoties jaunus dalībniekus un atbalstītājus šo pētījumu turpmākā realizācijā.
