英语. Desert and semi-desert flora exists in 466 taxons in the collection of the Botanical Garden of the University of Latvia. Plant collections are exposed in separate greenhouse, where there is a suitable microclimate for these plants. Succulent collection is widely represented with 139 taxons from the southern part of North America and Central America and 109 taxons from the dry regions of South America. The African dry region flora is represented with 214 taxons. A large number of species are endemic, rare and endangered.

Kolekcija ir eksponēta atsevišķā siltumnīcā, kur šiem augiem ir nodrošināts piemērots klimats. Sukulentu kolekcija ir plaši pārstāvēta ar 139 taksoniem no Ziemeļamerikas kontinenta dienvidu daļas un Centrālamerikas un 109 taksoniem no Dienvidamerikas sausajiem reģioniem. Āfrikas sauso reģionu flora pārstāvēta ar 214 taksoniem. Lielākā daļa sugu ir endēmiskas, retas un aizsargājamas.
