Pakistan is an under developed country so socio-economic progress is the requirement of strong economy. Punjab is the most populated area of Pakistan. Millennium Development Goals (MDG) for Pakistan like poverty, education etc. are the main enthusiasms for Government of Punjab. Our focus of study is districts of Punjab Pakistan. According to the reports of Federal Bureau of Statistics Pakistan, Punjab is divided into 36 districts. Cluster analysis is a technique which is used to categorize the objects in many clusters, within cluster should be similar and related and are unrelated or different from the other groups of objects. To find a useful object from groups is the main objective of clustering. Districts were classified into three clusters on the basis of the analysis. There are different methods that are used to carry out a cluster analysis such as Hierarchical methods and Non-hierarchical methods. The purpose of this study was to observe the socio-economic differences between these districts and their classification using cluster analysis relatively to homogenous groups. Different indicators have been used in this study to extract the information about these districts. On the basis of summary statistics of indicators cluster 1 and cluster 3 was considered to be developed groups among the other groups. The district level data for all districts are taken into account from the recently conducted Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) Punjab 2014.
