This research was conducted for the purpose of generating data that would indicate the persistence and residue levels of acetamiprid in the field and greenhouse production of paprika fruits. Acetamiprid was applied at amount of 0.25 kg/ ha, recommended by the manufacturer for aphid control. Evaluation of acetamiprid degradation was performed, from the moment of insecticide application to the stipulated pre-harvest interval (PHI) of fourteen days. Samples were collected at eight intervals - immediately after acetamiprid application, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 days after pesticide application. The extraction of acetamiprid from paprika samples was done by QuEChERS-based method with detection and quantification by HPLC-DAD, fulfilling the SANCO/12571/2013 criteria. In the field trial, immediately after the application, average content of acetamiprid in paprika samples decreased from 0.74 mg/kg, to 0.22 mg/kg until the end of PHI, with the half-life (DT ) of 4.6 days. In the same period, in the samples grown in greenhouse, content of acetamiprid ranged between 0.47 mg/kg and 0.08 mg/kg, with DT of 3.9 days.
