Cytomorphological pattern of anterior eyeball segment at different keratopathy types in horses | Цитоморфологическая картина переднего отрезка глазного яблока при различных видах кератопатий у лошадей

英语. A number of symptoms of keratopathy in sick horses were investigated in current research. A group of 40 variously-aged horses owned by private stables of the Moscow region was selected to conduct the study. The work included ophthalmic methods and cytological examinations. Analysis of impression smears of lesion foci of the cornea revealed a regenerative-inflammatory type of the cytogram, which was characterized by a decrease in the number of neutrophils to 58–70%, the appearance of macrophages (5–10%), fibroblasts (15–20%), plasma (2–7%), single epithelial cells. After the organization of the granulation tissue during the II phase of the 1st stage, the process passed to the II phase (stages 2 and 3). All the horses had a regenerative type of cytogram, which was characterized by a decrease in the neutrophil count to 36–40%, an increase in fibroblasts (36–47%), plasma cells (3–8%), giant multinucleated cells (3–5%), layers of epithelial cells. Cytomorphological examination of the impression smears of the focus of the cornea lesion in the 1-st phase of the 1-st and 2-nd stages in the secondary form showed the predominance of the degenerative-inflammatory type of the cytogram, characterized by the following cellular composition: neutrophils – 65–70%, 50% of the cells of which in a state of destruction and autolysis; monocytes – 4–9%, lymphocytes – 5–10%. At the end of the inflammatory phase of the course, the cytomorphological picture changed in the direction of increasing the number of neutrophils to 70–75%, and cells with destruction and autolysis were observed in 25% of the animals. It has found out that keratopathies in horses develop either after minor damage to the cornea and further attachment of a purulent infection, or when infecting a dystrophic cornea if microcirculatory processes are disturbed in it and the function of the physiological barriers of the eyeball is reduced. Identified clinical and morphological parallels allowed defining diagnostic criteria of the cornea inflammation.

俄语. Проводилось изучение целого ряда признаков, характеризующих больных лошадей с кератопатиями. Была отобрана группа животных (40 лошадей), различного возраста, находящихся на частных конюшнях Московской области. В работе применяли офтальмологические методы и цитологические исследования. Анализ мазков-отпечатков очага поражения роговицы выявил регенераторно-воспалительный тип цитограммы, который характеризовался уменьшением количества нейтрофилов до 58–70%, появлением макрофагов (5–10%), фибробластов (15–20%), плазматических (2–7%), единичных эпителиальных клеток. После организации грануляционной ткани во время II фазы 1-й стадии процесс переходил во II фазу (2-я и 3-я стадии). У всех лошадей был выявлен регенераторный тип цитограммы, который характеризовался уменьшением содержания нейтрофилов до 36–40%, увеличением фибробластов (36–47%), плазматических клеток (3–8%), гигантских многоядерных клеток (3–5%), пласты эпителиальных клеток. Цитоморфологическое исследование мазков-отпечатков очага поражения роговицы в I фазе 1-й и 2-й стадий при вторичной форме показало преобладание дегенеративно-воспалительного типа цитограммы, характеризующегося следующим клеточным составом: нейтрофилы – 65–70%, при этом 50% клеток из них находится в состоянии деструкции и аутолиза; моноциты – 4–9%, лимфоциты – 5–10%. В конце воспалительной фазы течения цитоморфологическая картина изменялась в направлении возрастания количества нейтрофилов до 70–75%, причем клетки с деструкцией и аутолизом наблюдались у 25% животных. Выявлено, что кератопатии у лошадей развиваются либо после незначительных повреждений роговицы и дальнейшего присоединения гнойной инфекции, либо при инфицировании дистрофически измененной роговицы при нарушении в ней микроциркуляторных процессов и снижении функции физиологических барьеров глазного яблока. На основании выявленных клинико-морфологических параллелей определены дифференциально-диагностические клинические критерии течения воспаления роговицы.
