Taxonomic review of rove beetles, Staphylininae and Oxytelinae (Staphylinidae: Coleopteran) in rice agroecosystem in Luzon, Philippines

A taxonomic review of Philippine Staphylininae and oxytelinae associated with rice agroecosystem was conducted in Luzon, Philippines. Four different sampling methods were used namely: light trap, pitfall trap, sweep net sampling and visual sampling. Eleven subfamilies of Staphylinidae associated with rice agroecosystem were recorded. A total of ten genera and 26 species, including 6 undetermined species belongs to Staphylininae and Oxytelinae were identified and recorded in Luzon, Philippines. Checklist and key to the Philippine Staphylininae and Oxytelinae are provided.
