During September 2014, in the municipality of Veliko Gradište the main chemical and physical characteristics of an agricultural soil were studied in order to assess the status of soils and to recommend the meliorative measures that would contribute to the intensification of agricultural production. By processing the collected data on climate characteristics of the study area and properties of the most common types of soil, the meliorative and agrotechnical measures, that may contribute to the development and increase of agricultural production efficiency in the study area, have been proposed.
