2018

77 winter wheat varieties were inoculated with conidia suspension of phytopathogenic fungi Fusarium culmorum in flowering. The epidemy developed in severe visual symptoms of infection, which were significantly variable between particular cultivars. The results of scab infection - laboratory detected DON mycotoxine content in harvested grain differed between cultivars, too. The highly significant relationship between spike infection severity and mycotoxine content in grain was confirmed. The highest levels of DON were found in Tobak and Hewitt. More then 50 % of spike was infected by fusarium head blight also in cultivars IS Karmadur (durum wheat), Secese, Hybery, Pankratz, Gordian, Rebell, Elixer, Hyguardo and Wintergold (durum wheat).
