Formation and development of innovation ecosystems of Portugal.

The article discusses Portugal as a EU member state which has achieved progress in a short period of time. The government policy of Portugal directed at the innovation development strategy was aimed at three directions of society development: knowledge, technologies and innovation. In spite of the fact that the innovation development parameters of Portugal were below the lower level of standard in comparison with other European countries, an evident increase of investment in innovations and technologies of Portugal has been observed lately. In 3 years, thanks to the strict belt-tightening policy Portugal has achieved an economic progress and has got clear of foreign debts. All this attracted the world attention. The innovation way for Portugal is the country’s sustainable development strategy.
