Innovation system in the agriculture of France.

The article deals with the current situation in the development of the innovation system and sphere in one of highly advanced industrial and agrarian EU country – France. The article analyzes the changes in the field of macroeconomic policy pursued by the state, regulatory assurance, direct and indirect forms, the state regulation of scientific and technological potential, and other measures having a positive impact on science and education and development. The role and broad participation of the state in financing and organization of innovative activities are emphasized. The article describes the tools of country's innovative system: clusters, competitiveness poles, technology parks, and business clubs. The advantages and disadvantages of the French innovation system are shown. The article reviews some aspects of the innovative system in agriculture, showing that the French agriculture successfully uses automation and genetic engineering, novel soil fertilization and cultivation methods. The EU policy for subsidizing agriculture and actively supporting farmers is emphasized.
