Determination of soil seed reserve and quantity is of great importance for studying population dynamics and planned weed suppression. Seed bank examination was conducted in spring and autmn of 2018. on localities Nature reserve 'Ludaško jezero' and Nature park 'Palić'. Soil sampling was done with a probe of the same volume, at the depth 0-10 cm. Seed quantity in samples was estimated by using the extraction method. In soil samples from Nature reserve 'Ludaško jezero', presence of 12 invasive weed species was deterimated: Amaranthus retroflexus, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Alianthus altisma, Asclepias syriaca, Celtis occidentalis, Datura stramonium, Echinochloa crus-galli, Lolium multiflorum, Iva xanthifolia, Portulaca oleracea, Matricaria discoidea, Setaria italica. Weed species with largest number of seed on this locality were A.retroflexus 13478,53-43226,99 seeds per m2 and P.oleracea 5503,07-38521,47 seeds per m2. Also, there was a significant number of seeds from A.artemisiifolia 159,51-638,04 per m2. Sampling at Nature park 'Palić' showed presence of seeds from 13 invasive weed species: Amaranthus retroflexus, Asclepias syriaca, Celtis occidentalis, Datura stramonium, Galisnoga parviflora, Lolium multiflorum, Matricaria discoidea, Portulaca oleracea, Setaria italica, Veronica persica, Vicia articulata, Robinia pseudoacacia, Phacelia tanacetifolia. Largest number of seed per m2 had A. retroflexus 2950,92-5503,07 and C. occidentalis 1834,36-5503,07.
