Poblaciones y sistemas de siembra en dos cultivares de soya ;Glycine max (L.) Merr. de diferentes hábitos de crecimiento en el estado Portuguesa

英语. Abstract Plant population, planting systems, and cultivars are three important factors for soybean production. The objective of the present study was to determine the effect of two planting systems and three plant populations on phenology, yield components and plant height of two soybean cultivars of different growth habits. The study was conducted at the FUNIAPROT research farm, Acarigua, Portuguesa State. Two soybean cultivars: UCLA-27S and UCLA-59S were selected because of their different growth habit (determinate and indeterminate, respectively). Treatments were arranged in split plots in a randomized complete block design with four replications. Planting system comprised the main plots while sub-plots consisted of the factorial combinations of population and cultivar. The indeterminate cultivar produced 24% more pod/plant and 17% more pod/m2 than the determinate cultivar. The cultivar x population (quadratic effect) interaction was significant (P<0.05) for pod/m2 while the third order interaction planting system x population (linear effect) x cultivar was significant (P<0.01) for plant height at R3 stage of growth. For the determinate cultivar, optimum population resulted 350.000 pl/ha while for the indeterminate counterpart, was 450.000 pl/ha. Our results suggested the need to take into account growth habit of soybean cultivars when recommending plant populations

El objetivo del presente trabajo fue determinar el efecto de dos sistemas de siembra y tres poblaciones de plantas sobre la fenología, componentes del rendimiento y altura de planta de dos cultivares de soya de diferentes hábitos de crecimiento. Este estudio fue conducido en el campo de la Fundación para la Investigación Agrícola y Promoción Tecnológica (FUNIAPROT) localizado en Durigua, estado Portuguesa. Los tratamientos fueron establecidos en parcelas divididas en un diseño de bloques completamente aleatorizados con cuatro replicaciones. El cultivar indeterminado produjo 24% más vainas por planta y 17% más vainas por m2 que el cultivar determinado. La interacción cultivar x población (efecto cuadrático) resultó significativa (P<0,05) para el número de vainas por m2 mientras que la interacción sistema de siembra x población (efecto lineal) x cultivar resultó significativa (P<0,01) para la altura de planta en el estado R3. Para el cultivar de hábito de crecimiento determinado, la población óptima resultó 350.000 pl/ha mientras que para el de crecimiento indeterminado, fue 450.000 pl/ha. Se sugiere tomar en consideración el hábito de crecimiento de los cultivares de soya en el momento de recomendar las poblaciones de plantas más apropiadas
