EFECTO DE MÉTODOS DE RIEGO LOCALIZADO EN LA SALINIDAD DEL PERFIL DE SUELO EN VID DE MESA.: CONDUCTIVIDAD ELÉCTRICA, SODIO, CLORO Y BORO EN DISTINTOS PUNTOS DEL PERFIL

In a table grape vineyard, cultivar Thompson Seedless, located in the saline alluvial soils (Aridisoles Paleorthids), of the valley of Copiapó, Northern Chile, soil salinity and the content of sodium, chloride and boron were measured, using the saturation extract. The samples were obtained at different depths, using different spatial sections in relation to the drip line and plantation row, considering three irrigation treatments: a single lateral drip line, with emitters of 4 L h-1 spaced at 1 meter (witness); a double lateral drip line, with emitters of 2 L h-1, spaced at 1 meter; and a single lateral sprinkler line using microjets of 14 L h-1 per plant. The results indicate that soil salinity decreases close to the emitter or microjet and increases farther away from it. The maximum salinity is encountered at the mid-point between two drip lines (condition between lines) and in first 40 cm of the soil profile. In general the large majority of salinity values found in the soil are superior to 5 dS m-1, for the three treatments, surpassing the tolerance threshold for the cultivation of table grapes. The content of sodium, chloride and boron in the soil also are high in relation to the tolerance range for table grapes. Under the tested conditions, the single line and microjet sprinkler treatments present a better control of the salinity in the root zone.

Thompson Seedless, establecido en suelos aluviales salinos (Aridisoles Paleorthids) del valle de Copiapó, en el norte de Chile, se midió la salinidad del suelo, el contenido de sodio, cloruro y boro, todos en el extracto de saturación. Las muestras se obtuvieron a distintas profundidades, en distintos cortes espaciales en relación a la línea de goteo y a la hilera de plantación, considerando tres tratamientos de riego: línea de goteo con lateral simple, con goteros de 4 L h-1, espaciados a metro (testigo) ; línea de goteo con lateral doble, con goteros de 2 L h-1, espaciados a metro; y línea lateral simple utilizando un microjet de 14 L h-1 por planta. Los resultados obtenidos indican que la salinidad del suelo disminuye cerca del punto de emisión del gotero o microjet y aumenta al alejarse de él. La salinidad máxima se produce en el punto medio entre dos líneas de goteo (condición entrelínea) y en los primeros 40 cm del perfil de suelo. En general los valores de salinidad encontrados en el suelo, en su gran mayoría son superiores a 5 dS m-1, en los tres tratamientos, superando el umbral de tolerancia del cultivo de la vid. El contenido de los elementos sodio, cloruro y boro en el suelo, también son elevados, en relación al rango de tolerancia de la vid. Bajo las condiciones ensayadas, los tratamientos de línea simple y microjet presentan un mejor control de la salinidad en la zona radicular.
