Uute Eesti õunasortide kvaliteet ja säilivus

Õunakasvatuse edukuse määrab õige sordivalik, sordil võib olla mõju viljade kvaliteedile ja säilivusele, seetõttu püstitati hüpotees, et uute Eesti õunasortide seas leidub selliseid, mis on hea viljade kvaliteedi ja säilivusega. Uurimistöö eesmärgiks oli selgitada uute Eesti õunasortide viljade suurusklassidesse jagunemine, viljaliha tugevus ja mahla kuivaine muutumine säilitusperioodil ning tarbimisaeg. Katses oli neli uut Eeti õunasorti‒ ’Kaari’, ’Kikitriinu’, ’Krista’ ning ’Liivika’. Võrdlusena võeti katses vaatluse alla tuntud Eesti õunasort ’Talvenauding’. Uute sortide katseistandik rajati 2008. a. Polli Aiandusuuringute Keskuses, kus igat sorti on 5- 10 puud. Katse viidi läbi 2013/2014 aastal. Õunu säilitati tavaatmosfääriga hoidlas õhutemperatuuril +2±1 °C ning 62‒87% õhuniiskuse juures oktoobrikuust kuni jaanuarini. Uurimusest selgus, et sort mõjutab viljaliha tugevust katsesortidel kogu säilitusperioodi jooksul. Uued sordid pehmenevad võrreldes kontrollsordiga kiiremini. Sort mõjutas ka rakumahla kuivaine sisaldust kogu säilitusperioodi jooksul. Sordid ’Kikitriinu’ ja ’Liivika’ saavutasid täisküpsuse kõige varem, võrreldes teiste katsesortidega. Säilituskadu oli kuni novembrini kõikidel uuritud õunasortidel alla 10% ja see ei sõltunud õunasordist. Detsembris ja jaanuaris olenes säilituskao suurus õunasordist. Säilituskatse lõpetati jaanuarikuus, sest säilituskadu tõusis mõnel sordil üle 20 %. Uute Eesti õunasortide viljad on suuremad kui kontrollsordi ’Talvenauding’ viljad. Selliseid vilju, mis oleksid väga väikesed, uute sortide seas ei leidu üldse või on väga vähe.

英语. The aim of this investigation was to find out the quality and storage of four new Estonian cultivar ’Kaari’, ’Kikitriinu’, ’Krista’ and ’Liivika’ apples. Four different characteristics were evaluated: flesh firmness (N), soluble solids content (%), storage losses (%) and size classes. Flesh firmness and soluble solids content were used to determine quality during storage. Storage losses were find out to evaluate storability. Diameter was measured for size classes. The study was carried out at Polli Horticultural Research Centre, in the southern part of Estonia, in 2013-2014. The cultivars tested in this study: ’Kaari’, ’Kikitriinu’, ’Krista’, ’Liivika’, on rootstock M26. Control variety was ‘Talvenauding’. Every month during storage from October to January the characteristics were measured. Data were statistically elaborated using one-way analyses of variance (ANOVA). The results of the study can be summarized as follows: • Flesh firmness was significantly influenced on every month of storage by apple cultivar. At the beginning of storage, fruits of cultivar ‘Krista’ had the highest flesh firmness and fruits of cultivar ’Kikitriinu’ had the lowest flesh firmness. Same was at the end of the storage. Long storage is not recommended for ’Kikitriinu’, because flesh firmness is too low already after three months storage. • Soluble solids content on investigated months was cultivar dependent in October, November and December. Soluble solids content was not cultivar dependent in January. For ’Kikitriinu’ and ’Liivika’, the highest soluble solids content was found in October. At this moment these cultivars were full ripen. In December were full ripen cultivars ’Krista’ and ’Talvenauding’. Apple cultivar ’Kaari’ had the highest soluble solids content in January. • There was effect of cultivar on storage losses in December and January. In November there was no effect of cultivar on storage losses. After three months of storage, apples of ’Kikitriinu’ had the highest storage losses. Almost the same losses had apples of 45 ’Krista’. Lower values had apples of ’Liivika’. Apples of cultivar ’Kaari’ had the lowest storage losses compared to other new Estonian apples cultivars. Apples of ’Talvenauding’ stored the best compared to other four cultivars. • Apples of new Estonian cultivars are bigger apples than apples of ’Talvenauding’. Almost 90% of every new cultivar apples are bigger than 70 mm. The part of small apples is very low. Zero percentage apples of ’Kaari’, ’Kikitriinu’ and ’Krista’ were smaller than 60 mm.
