Productivity of major apple varieties distributed in Shida Kartli.
2020
In connection with the open and hidden threats of geosystem processes, the mineral and biochemical indices, quality characteristics, shelflife and correlation between sugars and organic acids in dynamics, as well as a share of negative radicals (heavy metals, nitrate nitrogen) have been studied in the apple varieties (Kekhura, Banana, Golden) within the landscape of the Khovli village (Kaspi region). Based on the study results, it can be concluded that the studied apple varieties are biologically valuable and competitive on both the local and international market. Also establishes are the wight losses of the apples during storage. The lowest weight loss is reported in Kekhura (14.7%), which indicates its high durability. The correlation coefficients (r) values of the time-dependence of sugar content are close to 1 at in all samples and at all temperatures, indicating a rather high correlation between the variables. Thus, a change in sugar concentration does not affect the apple shelf life.
