Development of viticulture and winemaking in the Adjara-Guria Region.

The preservation of local endemic grapevine cultivars in the Adjara-Guria Region is considered the national challenge. The present work deals with the grapevine varieties cultivated in the region and the activities directed at their development and promotion, the main emphasis being made on the production of quality and competitive grape varieties and the resultant improvement of the socio-economic conditions of the local population.
