The article presents new data on Cypripedium calceolus L. in Plaiul Fagului Reserve – a rare species of community interest. The species is included in the list of protected species of the Republic of Moldova and in the Red Book of the Republic of Moldova, Habitats Directive, Convention on the International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. The limiting factors were highlighted, the assessment and categorization of the species were carried out according to the criteria developed by the UICN and the necessary conservation recommendations were proposed. Also, the synonymy, the morphological description, the habitat and the corology of the species are given.
