This paper described photosynthetic light response curve of oil palm treated with elevated CO₂. The measurement was carried out by using LICOR 6400 on three tenera progenies of oil palm seedling namely Deli AVROS. Deli Yangambi and Deli URT. Increased CO₂ significantly affected light response curve properties of oil palm seedling. The apparent quantum yield (a) and Amax of oil palm seedlings were enhanced but dark respiration rate (Rd) was reduced. Seedlings exposed to CO₂ enrichment regardless of concentrations recorded significantly higher apparent quantum yield (p~0.01) of 43% more efficient in light harvesting compared to control, whilst the Amax (light saturation) increased by 77% and 56% in the 800 and 1200 µmol/mol CO₂ treatment, respectively, compared to the control. In contrast, respiration rate was significantly reduced with increased CO₂ (p<=0.01) by 64% and 54% at respective 800 and 1200 µmol/mol CO₂ treatments over to control.
