The Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) method has been used to determine the total soluble solids content in Irwin mangoes through our study. Authors tried to expand NIRS tequnique to other varieties of mango for determination of the total soluble solids content. The highest multiple correlation coefficient (MR) between NIRS and chemical analysis in Keitt and Sensation mangoes were 0.94 and 0.91 respectively, and the standard error of calibration (SEC) were 0.57 and 0.64. The bias-corrected with the standard error of prediction (SEP) were 0.88 and 0.48. The result of the NIRS suggests a very high feasibility to predict the total soluble solids content of Keitt and Sensation Mangoes. The calibration curve should be applied to each variety.
