Evaluation of heterosis cucumber hybrids adaptability in low light period | Оценка гетерозисных гибридов огурца на пригодность выращивания в период низкой освещенности

The purpose of the work is to determine interrelationships of quantitative characteristics to plant productivity in low light conditions and to recommend hybrids for cultivation in these conditions at early stages of cucumber development. The research was carried out in the Moscow Breeding Centre "Poisk" on a plant culturing unit of the ebb and flow system with artificial lighting during 2018-2019. The chlorophyll content was determined at the All-Russian Research Institute of Vegetable Growing. During the research a quantitative assessment of morphological characters was carried out. The chlorophyll content in cucumber plants at the stage of 4-5 true leaves was determined. The dependences of the studied characters on the tested parthenocarpic heterosis cucumber hybrids are determined: F1 Bastion, F1 Express, F1 Piligrim, F1 Zhar-ptitsa, F1 Revansh, F1 Novator, F1 Forward, F1 Faust, and F1 Bliznyashky. The G. Montgomery method was used to determine the surface of cotyledonous and true leaves. The results of evaluation of correlation relationships are presented, which made it possible to establish the degree of dependence of morphological indicators in a certain period of growth and development of cucumber plants. It has been established that the manifestation of traits: the area of cotyledons and true leaves, chlorophyll content and plant productivity is variety-specific. The area of the cotyledons strongly depends on the of quantity internodes (r = 0.7) and the diameter of the hypocotyl (r = 0.7); the area of true leaves is the length of the petioles (r = 0.9), the mass of the upper part (r = 0.8), the mass of the root system (r = 0.9), the diameter of the hypocotyl (r = 0.8). The chlorophyll b content is inversely proportional to the length of the petioles (r = - 0.7) and the diameter of the hypocotyl (r = - 0.8). Parthenocarpic heterosis cucumber hybrids F1 Piligrim and F1 Zhar-Ptitsa are selected for growing in containers during low light period. To achieve an yield, in it is necessary to supplementarily light plants in autumn and winter.

Цель работы –на ранних стадиях развития огурца (Cucumis sativus L.) определить взаимосвязи количественных признаков и продуктивности растений в условиях в низкой освещенности и рекомендовать гибриды для возделывания в таких условиях. Исследования проведены в Московском селекционном центре "Поиск" на гидропонной установке системы прилив-отлив с искусственным освещением в 2018-2019 гг. Содержание хлорофилла определяли во Всероссийском НИИ овощеводства. В ходе исследований проведена количественная оценка морфологических признаков. Определено содержание хлорофилла в растениях огурца на стадии 4-5 настоящих листьев. Определены зависимости изучаемых признаков от испытуемых партенокарпических гетерозисных гибридов огурца: F1 Бастион, F1 Экспресс, F1 Пилигрим, F1 Жар-птица, F1 Реванш, F1 Новатор, F1 Форвард, F1 Фауст, F1 Близняшки. В работе использован метод Г. Монтгомери для определения площади семядольных и настоящих листьев. Представлены результаты оценки корреляционных связей, которые позволили установить степени зависимости морфологических показателей в определенный период роста и развития растений огурца. Установлено, что проявление признаков "площадь семядольных и настоящих листьев", "содержание хлорофилла" и "продуктивность растений" сортоспецифично. Площадь семядольных листьев в сильной степени зависит от количества междоузлий (r=0,7) и диаметра подсемядольного колена (r=0,7); площадь настоящих листьев – от длины черешков (r=0,9), массы наземной части (r=0,8), массы корневой системы (r=0,9), диаметра подсемядольного колена (r=0,8). Содержание хлорофилла b обратно пропорционально зависит от длины черешков (r= - 0,7) и диаметра подсемядольного колена (r= - 0,8). Выделены партенокарпические гетерозисные гибриды огурца F1 Пилигрим и F1 Жар-птица для выращивания в контейнерах в период пониженной освещенности. Для получения урожая осенью и зимой растения необходимо досвечивать.
