Usage possibilities of some native plant species of Isparta province in cut and dried floriculture

In this master thesis, using facilities of some natural plant species which are distributed in Isparta region, in cut and dried flowering were determined. During the field studies which conducted in 2014 and 2015, Acantholimon acerosum var. acerosum (Wılld) Boiss, Origanum sipyleum L., Hypericum perforatum L., Fibigia eriocarpa (Dc.) Boiss , Minuartia gracilis Mcneill, Dianthus calocephalus Boiss, Alyssum murale var. murale Waldst. &. Kit., Dactylis glomerata L. subsp. hispanica (Roth) Nyman, Alopecurus myosuroides Hudson var. myosuroides Hudson and Iris pseudacorus L. as plant taxa were collected.The measurement relating morphologic characteristics like plant lenght, flower number, flowering and foliation starting were done. As a result of measurements, the average plant lenght of A. acerosum var. acerosum was found as 27.4 cm and also flower number as 17.3, flowering starting as 14.92 cm and foliation starting as 12.46.The mean lenght of O. sipyleum was determined as 72.24 cm and also flower number as 16.22, flowering starting 57.66 cm and foliation starting as 14.1 cm. Relating to H. perforatum, the mean length was found as 68.72 cm, flower number as 8.24 , flowering starting as 17 cm and foliation starting as 52.27 cmThe length of F. eriocarpa was calculated as 48.5 cm, flower number as 2.7, flowering starting as 42.1 cm and foliation starting as 15.52 cm. For M. gracilis, the length of plant, flower number, flowering starting and foliation starting were determined as 11 cm, 5, 1.2 cm and 10.2 cm respectively.For D. calocephalus, the plant length was calculated as 76.74 cm, flower number 17.54; flowering starting as 2.14, the foliation starting as 74.6 cm. The length of plant for A. murale var. murale was determined as 55.4 cm, flower number as 12.88, flowering starting as 13.18 cm and foliation starting as 42.22 cmThe plant length of D. glomerata subsp. hispanica was found as 75.7 cm, flower number as 2.4, flowering starting as 12.6 cm and foliation starting as 63.11 cm. For A. myosuroides var. myosuroides, the plant length was found 51.7 cm, the length in flowering starting period as 7.9 and foliation starting as 43.8 cm.The plant length of I. pseudacorus was determined as 97.5 cm, flower number as 2.4, flowering starting 7.9 cm and foliation starting as 141.9 cm. As a result of study, it is determined that collected plant taxa are suitable for using in cutting and dried floriculture.
