A new species of dance-flies of the genus Rhamphomyia Meigen, 1822 (Diptera: Empididae) from the Caucasus

A new species of the subgenus MegacyttarusBigot, 1880 taken from the Caucasian region of Russia(Krasnodar Province) – Rhamphomyia pseudopoissonisp. n. is described in the paper. Diagnosis. Male: body goldgray pollinose; legs black; hind femur narrowed in basal half,without tubercle on posterior face; hind tibia considerablyshorter than hind femur, curved (anterior view) and slightlythickened on apical part; hind tarsus 1.6 times as long ashind tibia; hind basitarsus slightly thickened and curved,with fine anteroventral and posterodorsal setae which are2 times as long as diameter of basitarsus; second segmentthickened, with tuft of long black bristles which are about4 times as long as diameter of segment; third segmentthickened, with similar long bristles; epandrial lamellasubtriangular, with rounded apex; phallus arcuate, withoutS-like basal bend, hooked on subapical part.
