The scientific direction "Environmental Safety" (EB) originates in the second half of the 20th century and continues to develop intensively at the present time. The formation of this scientific direction is conditioned by the inherent need for the evolutionary sustainable development of society. Both domestic scientists (Bolsherotoy A.L. 2010, Ko-zin V.V., Petrovsky V.A. 2005, Mazur I.I. 1999, Rumyantseva E.E. 2005, Khoruzhaya T.A. 2002, Shmal A.G. 2000, etc.) and foreign scientists have made a certain contribution to the formation of this scientific direction. EB is one of the components of national security, which determines the totality of natural, social conditions, types of economic and other activities that ensure the safe life of the population living in the zones of influence of water management facilities associated with the use of water resources in various sectors of economic and other activities.
