Adequate supplementation of poultry feed is essential due to its significant roles in the physiological functionsand maintenance of the homeostasis of the organism. On the other hand, phosphorus present in feed, whichis not absorbed in GIT, is excreted in the environment. That gives an environmental impact to phosphorusconcentration in soil and water. Thus, formulation of broilers meal and avoiding the excess addition ofphosphorus is crucial. In order to more accurately determine the faecal phosphorus output and digestibility ofP from diet, the trial was conducted on 200 one-day old broilers, Cobb 500, both sexes. During the 42experimental days, broilers were fed a diets which differed only in monocalcium phosphate origin (i.e.experimental groups received two different MCP). Daily phosphorus intake, fecal P output were measured andpercentage of P digestibility was calculated, in two ages of broilers. Determined differences have shown thehigher level of phosphorus utilization in O-I group of broilers, but observed differences were not statisticallysignificant. Tested parameter may be used in estimation of the level of phosphorus which in this way mergedinto the environment. Additionally, these are valuable information for correction of complete feed mixture forbroilers on phosphorus concertation according to the needs of broilers, which is one of the most importantways of dealing with phosphorus pollution.
