Agricultural insurance in Montenegro

High level of risk is evident in the field of agriculture, thus affecting and making it specific in relation to other activities. The importance of insurance in agriculture is reflected in the fact that it provides economic protection to agricultural producers from various adverse effects. Exposure to constant risks, whose intensity is unpre dictable, makes insurance a dynamic category. The paper will outline the current situation, in addition to problems in insuring crops and animals on family farms in the northern and central part of Monte negro. The aim of the paper is to note problems on the farms and draw certain conclusions in order to improve the insurance situation in the field of agricultural production in Montenegro, based on surveys in three municipalities (Pljevlja, Kolašin, and Bijelo Polje).
