A study for the selection of best seed provenances of mogno, andiroba, cedro, cumaru, and jatoba for plantation on the terra firme was installed in Manaus-AM (Brasil). According to the concept of genotype-environment interactions first results on the adaptation of the provenances to the site conditions will be presented.
