We analyzed a possibility of reducing the amount (rates) of PPP according to the actual weather and microclimatic conditions at the time of application in the field. We evaluated the efficacy of fungicides in this aim both chemical and biological ones. We treated and assessed winter wheat varieties with different level of susceptibility to fungal diseases. HYGO sensor and application were used for fungicide rate optimization. 9 agriculture farms and crop production companies situated in France and the Czech Republic used this approache in winter wheat during fungicide applications. The reduced rates of fungicides according to HYGO were found in the range from 5 to 30 % less of the original product rates. On the other side full rates had been used in the conditions not favourable for application, showing by Hygo no possibility to reduce rate. The yield results and the efficacy against main leaf diseases confirmed repeatedly, that these reducted applications didn't resulted in yield and grain quality decrease in any farm. The small plot field trial was established in Kromeriz location. Chemical as well as biological fungicides were used in full rates and reduced rates according HYGO reccomendation. All treatments were compared in efficacy against leaf diseases and in yield effect. All treatments reduced disease occurrence significantly without any efficacy decrease. These findings were confirmed with yield and grain quality assessments.
