Pollen and physico-chemical parameters of honey samples from Sivas region

A total of 20 honey samples were taken from seventeen different localities of the Sivas region 2014 and 2015. The pollen and physico-chemical analysis were performed on these samples. Following the polen analysis, 69 taxa belonging to 28 families were detected. In the honey, predominant or pollen types were Astragalus sp. and Onobrychis sp. In samples, secondary pollen types were Centaurea sp., Astragalus sp., Hedysarum sp., Onobrychis sp., Lathyrus sp. and Trifolium sp.Centaurea sp., Echium sp., Astragalus sp., Hedysarum sp. Lathyrus sp. Onobrychis sp., Trifolium sp., Salvia sp., Thymus sp., Crataegus sp., Rubus sp. and Salix sp. were the most represented taxas in all honey samples from Sivas region. The moisture; moisture, acidity, pH, brix, electrical conductivity of honey samples from Sivas region seemed to be appropreate with the standarts of the Councıl Dırectıve of the European Union and Turkish Food Codex Communique of Honey.
