A Study on Determination of Yield and Technological Characteristics in Lines/Varieties of Different Cotton (Gosspium Hirsutum L.) in Adana and Hatay

This study was carried out in the experimental field of Eastern Mediterranean Agricultural Research Institute in Adana and farmer field in Hatay in 2012 and 2013. 8 lines/varieties including checks were tested in randomized complete blocks design with four replications. As material SRR 931, SG 125, 9/2, 1/16, 27/2, SRR11, 18/7 and Çukurova 1518. Experiments were set up in 4 sequential, randomized blocks trial design. The parcel size was 12 m and the harvest was evaluated at 10 m. Cotton samples taken before harvesting were examined in cotton laboratory of Nazilli Cotton Research Institute Director in terms of cotton and fiber properties according to the related methods.
