Monitoring and Evaluation of Level and Salinity Values of Underground Water by Geographic Information Systems (GIS): Dogankent-Adana Case

Management Monitoring and Allocation Department. Ground water levels and groundwater salinity values were measured at the observation wells in June in 2014 and 2015. Arcgis program was used to prepare the maps of groundwater level and groundwater salinity conditions. Groundwater level was observed between 0-150 cm at three of five observation wells in June 2014 and four of five observation wells in June 2015. Basal water salinity values were found less than 1 dS m-1 in both periods in these wells. Groundwater level and soil salinity values should be monitored regularly in future.
