Features of winter wheat grain production in climatic conditions of the Southern Urals | Особенности производства зерна озимой пшеницы в климатических условиях Южного Урала

An analysis of the characteristics of winter wheat grain production in the climatic conditions of the Southern Urals is necessary to develop a strategy for an adequate technological response to natural and anthropogenic challenges. The purpose of the research was to evaluate the effectiveness of winter wheat grain production and to determine the relationship of gross yields to meteorological parameters under climate changing conditions. The studies were carried out in various soil and climatic zones (Northern, Western, and Central) of the Orenburg region in 2008–2021. To treat the digital material, methods of statistical analysis were used. A steady trend of expanding the sown area of winter wheat due to increase in its share in the crop structure was identified and noticeable dynamics of harvested areas associated with their decrease by the time of harvesting relative to the sown area were revealed. The negative impact of abnormal climatic events on the crop's safety, yields stability and gross grain yields was confirmed. The highest additional grain harvest from each added hectare of sown area (2.45–2.57 t/ha) was noted in the Northern and Western zones; the most significant decrease in harvested area relative to the sown area (8349 ha, or 10.5%) – in the Central zone. The most pronounced average relationship of the decrease in harvested areas and the temperature regime as well as moisture conditions, with the predominant direct influence of the sums of active temperatures of the entire growing season (r = 0.46–0.49), was noted in the Northern and Western zones. The relationship of grain yield with the sum of active temperatures from sowing to harvest in all zones is inversely strong (r = -0.70–0.76), and with the sum of all precipitation from sowing to harvest, including precipitation of the cold period, it is direct average (r = 0.58–0.63). A radical restructuring of the entire technological process, aimed at maximizing the biological potential of heat-resistant and drought-tolerant varieties, which act as a key link, can become a promising direction for stabilizing gross yields in the current climatic conditions.

Анализ особенностей производства зерна озимой пшеницы в климатических условиях Южного Урала необходим для выработки стратегии адекватного технологического ответа на природные и антропогенные вызовы. Цель исследований – оценка результативности производства зерна озимой пшеницы и определение связи валовых урожаев с метеорологическими параметрами в условиях меняющегося климата. Исследования проводили в различных почвенно-климатических зонах (Северной, Западной и Центральной) Оренбургской области в 2008–2021 г. При обработке цифрового материала пользовались методами статистического анализа. Выявлена устойчивая тенденция расширения посевного клина озимой пшеницы за счёт увеличения её доли в структуре посевов и заметная динамика уборочных площадей, связанная с их убылью к уборке относительно засеянной площади. Подтверждено негативное влияние аномальных климатических проявлений на сохранность посевов, стабильность урожайности и валовых сборов зерна. Самый высокий дополнительный сбор зерна с каждого добавленного гектара посевной площади (2,45–2,57 т/га) отмечен в Северной и Западной зонах, а наиболее ощутимая убыль уборочных площадей относительно площадей посева (8349 га, или 10,5%) – в Центральной. Самая выраженная средняя связь убыли уборочных площадей с температурным режимом и условиями увлажнения, с преимущественным прямым влиянием сумм активных температур всего периода вегетации (r = 0,46–0,49) отмечена в Северной и Западной зонах. Связь урожайности зерна с суммой активных температур от посева до уборки во всех зонах обратная сильная (r = - 0,70–0,76), а с суммой всех осадков от посева до уборки, включая осадки холодного периода – прямая средняя (r = 0,58–0,63). Коренная перестройка всего технологического процесса, направленная на максимальную реализацию биологического потенциала жаростойких и засухоустойчивых сортов, выступающих в качестве ключевого звена, может стать перспективным направлением стабилизации валовых сборов в сложившихся климатических условиях.
