Features of the growth and formation of the physique of Nenets reindeer from birth to puberty | Особенности роста и формирования телосложения северных оленей ненецкой породы

英语. In the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District there were studied 169 heads of Nenets deer from birth to 18 months of age. The maximum rate of live weight gain in calves is observed in the first 6 months of postnatal development, and it has sexual differentiation: in males the gain for 6-month period was 52.5 kg, in females it was 46.5 kg. From 6 to 12 months of age, which falls during the wintering period, in the studied groups of deer there was a drop in absolute indicators of live weight gain to negative values: males -5.3 kg, females -1.7 kg. In the period from 12 to 18 months of age, the absolute growth rates of males and females turned out to be equal. As to the rate of linear growth and features of formation of the physique of young deer in the period from birth to 6 months of age, no significant difference between males and females was found either visually or instrumentally. During the first wintering period, an increase in absolute value was observed by measurements associated with the growth of the skeleton: height at the withers, height at the elbow, head length, chest depth, and oblique length of the stern. The age period from 12 to 18 months is characterized by a significant increase in linear body sizes in the studied deer, but the difference in almost all measurements did not exceed 4%. A comparison of 10 indices of physique in animals showed that at 6 and 18 months of age, the main proportions of the physique are close, which indicates a high rate of formation of the physique in young domestic reindeer. A comparison of the physique indices revealed no signs of sexual dimorphism for any of them, except for the pelvic index, which was higher in females at all age periods and the broad bodied index at 18 months of age.

俄语. В Ямало-Ненецком автономном округе было исследовано 169 голов оленей ненецкой породы от рождения до 18-месячного возраста. Максимальная скорость весового прироста живой массы телят наблюдается в первые 6 месяцев постнатального развития и имеет половую дифференциацию: у самцов прирост за 6-месячный период составил 52,5, у самок – 46,5 кг. С 6 до 12-месячного возраста, приходящегося на период зимовки, в исследованных группах оленей произошло падение абсолютных показателей прироста живой массы до минусовых значений: у самцов –5,3 кг, у самок –1,7 кг. В период с 12 до 18-месячного возраста по абсолютному приросту показатели самцов и самок оказались равными. По скорости линейного роста и особенностям формирования телосложения молодняка оленей в период от рождения до 6-месячного возраста существенной разницы между самцами и самками не обнаружено ни визуально, ни инструментально. В период первой зимовки прирост абсолютной величины наблюдался по промерам, связанным с ростом скелета: высота в холке, высота в локте, длина головы, глубина груди, косая длина зада. Возрастной период от 12 до 18 месяцев характеризуется значительным ростом линейных величин тела у исследуемых оленей, однако разница почти по всем промерам не превысила 4%. Сравнение 10 индексов телосложения у животных показало, что в 6- и 18-месячном возрасте основные пропорции телосложения близки, что свидетельствует о высокой скорости формирования фенотипа у молодняка домашних северных оленей. Сравнение индексов телосложения не выявило признаков полового диморфизма ни по одному из них, кроме индекса тазового, который во все возрастные периоды был выше у самок, и индекса широкотелости в 18-месячном возрасте.
