The modification of the chemical composition and quality of pea under the influence of long term fertilization

The experimental results regarding the influence of the longterm application of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers on the chemical composition and quality of pea, grown on soil with different agrochemical characteristics, showed that fertilizers applied did not bring important changes in the chemical composition and quality of the pea crop. As a result of the positive effect on the grain yield per ha, the nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers contributed to the increase of protein quantity per unit area did not lead to the decrease of the protein percentage in the grain. Therefore, yield increase can be accompanied by an increased quantity of protein per ha.
