Effect of different levels of cytokinin and auxin on graft development in explanted internodes of three leguminous species

Effect of different concentrations of kinetin and IAA in the culture media on the development of explanted internode grafts in vitro was studied using three leguminous species, Glycine max, Pisum sativum and Vigna sinensis. The excised internodes of all these species could be autografted effectively in vitro in the presence of 2.15 mg/1 kinetin and 20.00 mg/1 IAA in the culture media. These concentrations were also found to be suitable for heterograft studies between these leguminous species.
