An observation on the predation of Orius minutus Linnaeus on some insect pests

A study in 1983-84 showed that the prey objects of Orius minutus were sorghum thrips, cotton aphid, grain aphid, sorghum aphid, the first and second instars larvae of armyworm, the eggs and 1st instar larvae of cotton bollworm and corn borer. Its predation was 16.5, 9.7, 8.3, 4.5 and 2.6/ day resp. on those insects.
