The present study was conducted for two seasons during 1984 and 1985 at Ninevah Horticulture Research Station, Mosul on (Kamali and Halwani) grapevine cultivars. All vines were selected according to the vigour of the vegetative growth and pruned to four fruiting canes plus four renewal spurs with 2 buds / spur.
