The fruit and horticultural sector has now to face hard times. This trend is due to the steadyness of demand on the national markets, the difficulty to find new export markets owing to rising competition in international trade, the high level of production costs and the lackness of an appropriate trade policy. Starting from these facts this paper tries to seek the way to overcome the present difficulties.
