Present study was conducted to investigate the inheritance of major agronomic characteristics in sesame with 6x6 diallel analysis. Over dominance was recognized in number of branches, number of grains per capsule and protein content, while plant height and 1,000 grain weight showed partial dominance. It was also recognized that dominant genes were prevalent in the cultivars of Danbaekggae and Kansas-10 for plant height, in Ashrimutant for number of branches, in Kodal and Kansas-10 for number of grains per capsule, and in Ashirmutant for 1,000 grain weight. Narrow sense heritabilities were relatively high with the range of 39-53% in plant height, number of branches and protein content, but numb0915er of grains per capsule and 1,000 grain weight showed lower heritabli
