The Mardin-Darby Bovine Kidney (MDBK) cells or bovine turbinate (BT) cells infected with bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) and labeled with (35)S-methionine were subsequently treated with 0.01 M binary ethylenimine (BEI)0.2 % beta-propiolactone (BPL) or/and 0.1 % formalin to detect possible molecular changes of BVDV viral polypeptides. Radio-immunoprecipitation and sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) of the untreated BVDV showed that five major polypeptides with molecular w1140eight (MW) of 115K, 80K, 55K, 46K and 38K were commonly detected by bovine anti-BVDV antibody. When BVDV treated with BEI and BPL were analysed, there were no evidences of molecular changes of BVDV major polypept
