Fertility status of surface soil in Mangaldan, Pangasinan [Philippines]
1984
Ydio, G.M.
Analysis showed that the dominant soil type was silty clay loam. Bulk density of the soil sample was greater in coarse textured soil than in fine textured soil due to the compaction of the soil aggregates. Particle density was high in coarse textured soil. Soil had an optimum pH value of 6.75 organic matter content; calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus were adequate while potassium was in excess amount. Correlation analysis between pH and organic matter, calcium and magnesium were positively and highly significant. Between pH and potassium and phosphorus, significant relationship was noted.
