Morphological and yield characteristics of tuber of selected winged bean accessions [Philippines]

Evaluated were UPLB-IPB [University of the Philippines at Los Banos - Inst. of Plant Breeding] accession numbers 46, 48, 203, 176, and Tpt6. Differences were not significant in number of tuber and tuber yield per plant among the accessions of winged bean. The mean number of tubers per plant ranged from 1.89 to 3.67, tuber ranged from 12.67 to 15.40 cm and tuber width, 2.62 to 2.74. Furthermore, the highest tuber yield was obtained from accession number 46 with mean yield of 91.81 grams or a computed yield of 1224.13 kilograms per hectare
